Our Mission: To make a positive difference in communities by delivering motivating messages through fun characters and music.

When Ross Orenstein and Mona Amodeo, Ph.D. put their heads together, Music as Message was born! We all know that music enhances memory. So why not use this information to teach, inspire and motivate children in a fun and entertaining way using music as the messenger? Remember how you learned your ABC's?

Music as Message is THE "go to" place for corporations that want to be part of providing solutions to challenges facing their communities. We work with socially responsible organizations to deliver relevant messages directly to children in their community; thereby providing a way for corporations to make a difference.

By joining forces with educators to provide educational material, corporations will have a lasting impact on children. Our Student Education Programs and Community Awareness Campaigns allow corporations to make a difference while building good will for their organization. We connect the notes . . . Just ask us how?


ross orenstein

Award winning children's songwriter, Ross Orenstein created Hearty and the Safety Ape. Ross is licensed to write, produce, and distribute music and coloring books for The National Crime Prevention Council's McGruff the Crime Dog, and also writes music for Rotary International's Four-Way Test. He also produced a puppet production on reading and literacy for Coca-Cola and Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) for their StoryTraveler Tour featuring his original music. The Go Ape Band won a Gold Addy Award for the Safety Ape and The StoryTraveler Tour won a silver REGGIE® Award for cause related promotions!


mona amodeo, ph.d.

In addition to her work with Music as Message, Mona is the founder and president of idgroup, a Brand Agency based in Pensacola, Florida. In her role at idgroup she engages organizations in discovering, communicating and living authentic brand stories that create unparalleled customer experiences and differentiation in the marketplace using Branding from the Core®, a brand development process she developed She embraces the business shift toward triple bottom line measurement of shareholder value and is committed to spreading this definition of "good business."

Mona consults in areas of organizational development and change and corporate responsibility. Mona is an active researcher, speaker, and writer. Her research has been published in textbooks and professional journals. She regularly presents at national and international conferences. She is currently writing a book focusing on corporate social and environmental responsibility, based on her recently completed case study of an international carpet manufacturer’s cultural change process.
